Felicia Cooper is Felicia Cooper is a third-year MFA Candidate making puppet shows exploring big questions with small humans. She serves as the Graduate Assistant at the Ballard Institute and Museum of Puppetry. As a puppeteer, she has apprenticed with Kate Brehm, AchesonWalsh Studios, The National Puppetry Conference, and Bread and Puppet Theater. She has held artistic residencies making puppet shows at New Hazlett Theater, folkLAB, The Children's Museum of Pittsburgh, Redwing Blackbird Theater, Pearl Arts Studios, Pittsburgh Center for the Arts, and more. She has received grants to support her work from the CT Sea Grant, the CT State Arts Council, the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, the Heinz Small Arts Endowment, and the Marks Family Endowment. Some highlights of Felicia's work include Ironweed Tales (2018), Porto Domi (2019), The Personal Theater of Collective Anxieties (2020), Thing Power, (2020), and Ish (2021). Next Up for Felicia is graduation! (and an Artist Maker Fellowship at Winterthur Museum, summer 2021.)
