Visiting Assistant Professor in Residence - Stage Management

Alison Savino joined the University of Connecticut in the Fall of 2023 as Visiting Assistant Professor in Residence of Stage Management, after serving as the Stage Management Advisor for CRT’s production of Rent, in the spring of 2023.
Alison has been a member of the Actors Equity Association and working as a professional stage manager for the last 10+ years.
As a multi-hyphenate artistic collaborator, Alison’s journey has taken her across disciplines and venues throughout the northeast. She has served as a Stage Manager, Production Manager, Designer and Producer for theater, live events, digital projects and independent film, giving her a broad perspective to guide young stage managers on their own unique journeys.
Notable credits include the Broadway production of Ain’t No Mo and World-wide productions of Moulin Rouge, as well as notable venues such as New York Theatre Workshop, The Argyle Theatre, Opera North, Ars Nova and Two River Theater. Alison most recently had the honor of being the Stage Management instructor and presenter with the Broadway Teaching Group in NYC for their 2023 teacher’s workshop.
Alison holds a Master of Fine Arts from Columbia University in Stage Management and a Bachelor of Art from Wagner College in Theatre/Speech, with concentrations in Design Technology and Management.
