Brad Fraizer
Visiting Assistant Professor, Movement and Stage Combat
Brad Fraizer is an actor, educator, mover, fight choreographer and distinguished practitioner of bafflement. He holds a BFA in Acting from the University of Michigan, and an MFA in Acting from the University of Virginia. As an actor, he has appeared on such television shows as Blue Bloods, FBI, FBI: Most Wanted, The Blacklist, Billions, Luke Cage, Law & Order: SVU and recently in the season 23 premiere of Law & Order. On stage he has performed Off Broadway, toured nationally with the Kennedy Center and worked in regional theaters across the US over the past 20 years. Brad is also is co-founder of and performer in the comedy group Logic Limited, LTD., where he has created and/or performed in Schaden, Freude, & You, TiVo La Resistance!, Mission Implausible! and the Naked Clown Ballet. His passion for movement, comedy and physical theatre began at U of M, having been mentored by Malcolm Tulip who focused on the pedagogy of Jacques Lecoq. During his time at U of M, he also studied movement, Aikido and stage combat under Fight Master Erik Fredricksen, one of the founding members of the Society of American Fight Directors. Erik’s mentorship gave Brad the necessary experience to utilize stage combat throughout his professional career. Brad has developed fight choreography at the University of Michigan, University of Virginia, Princeton University and in regional theaters across the country. He has also served as fight captain on numerous professional productions he’s performed in over the years. As an educator, he has taught Movement, Acting, Stage Combat, Physical Theatre/Devising, Shakespeare, Improvisation and Clown at such places as the University of Michigan, the University of Virginia, Princeton University and Cornell Tech for the Tectonic Theater Project. Set to release in 2025, he can next be seen in an episode of the Netflix limited series ZERO DAY opposite Robert DeNiro. Brad has been a proud union member of Actors’ Equity Association and SAG-AFTRA going on 20 years.
