Krit Robinson is an award-winning designer, artist, and educator based in Woodside, Queens, whose work spans site-specific installations, public art, architectural consulting, theatre, and opera. Select design credits include Complications in Sue (Opera Philadelphia), Rheology(Playwrights Horizons), Hilma (Wilma Theatre), Drinking in America (Audible Theater), Don Giovanni (Wolf Trap Opera), Heather Christian’s Oratorio for Living Things (Ars Nova and Signature Theatre), graveyard shift (Goodman Theatre), Familiar (Steppenwolf Theatre Company), and In the Green (LCT3). She is a co-founder and principal designer of Queens Lighting Collective, which creates multidisciplinary, community-centered art in the public realm through installations, activations, workshops, and neighborhood beautification. QLC recently completed Shine a Light on Flatbush, a multi-pronged, community-driven public art and lighting installation in Brooklyn, New York, on view through May 2027. Her practice transforms large, epic artistic messes into a clear vision and physical worlds that can be inhabited, driven by impossible questions about our shared humanity and the complex human spirit. A Princess Grace Fellow, Krit holds an MFA in Theatre Design from the David Geffen School of Drama at Yale University and is a proud member of USA 829 and Sunnyside and Woodside Mutual Aid.
