MFA Performance Opportunities

MFA Acting students comprise a significant part of the resident acting company at the Connecticut Repertory Theatre (CRT), the performance wing of the Department of Dramatic Arts. Producing in three unique theatres, CRT presents a wide range of plays from classical to contemporary. These productions often feature professional guest artists—both directors and actors—many of whom have extensive experience in major regional repertory theatres as well as Off- and On-Broadway. This collaboration with professional guest directors and actors provides student actors the opportunity to work alongside seasoned professionals in a professional setting. Although not guaranteed, graduate-student actors typically perform in at least one, and sometimes two, Mainstage CRT productions during five of their six semesters in the program.
