Jake Neighbors joined the University of Connecticut as Assistant Professor of Sound Design in 2022 after serving as the Interim Professor of Sound Design for UCONN in 2021. In prior years, they have worked as a freelance designer and engineer for Tantrum Theatre, Theatre Aspen, Alabama Shakespeare Festival, Hangar Theatre, and most recently, Parallel 45 Theatre. Jake is an emerging professional after graduating from Ohio University with their MFA in Production Design and Technology in 2020 where they also helped pitch and develop the new Arts Administration program, which recently graduated its first MA class in 2021. They are beyond excited to be teaching the next generation of theatre artist who will graduate and do great things within the entertainment industry.
