Lillian Ransijn

Visiting Assistant Professor in Residence - Movement


Lillian Ransijn is a Philadelphia and Atlanta-based director, intimacy coordinator, teaching artist, deviser and producer. As Visiting Assistant Professor at UCONN, they are teaching Movement for the Actor courses and acting as intimacy director for this season’s Connecticut Repertory Theater works.  They hold a certification in Intimacy Coordination from IDC Professionals, an MFA in Devised Performance Practice from UArts/Pig Iron Theater’s APT School, and a BA in Dance and Theater Studies from Emory University.  Their artistic and teaching practice is grounded in Jacques Lecoq physical theater, Bartenieff Fundamentals and Laban Movement Studies, Consent-forward, trauma-informed embodied storytelling, and contemporary, queer, Afro-diasporic dance practices.
